January is such an exciting month at NRANews! Not only is it the beginning of a new year, it's also the start of the busiest part of the year for remote broadcasts. We started off this year with a bang in mid-January at the SHOT Show in Las Vegas, and will wrap up the first part of this year at the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in mid-May in Charlotte. In between, we'll be at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in D.C. in mid-February, plus countless other events, large and small, all over the country. The NRANews team just returned from a great week in Vegas, where we broadcast "Cam & Company" from the floor of the SHOT Show for viewers and listeners on both NRANews.com and Sirius Satellite Patriot 144.

We had a great run in Vegas, but there is no time to rest for the NRANews crew! CPAC is less than a month away, and there is much preparation and planning to be completed for our live broadcasts of "Cam & Company" at CPAC in Washington, D.C. Just as we did for the first time last year, we will again broadcast NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre's speech at CPAC live on NRANews.com, and then again that night at "Cam & Company" normal broadcast time of 9 PM/ET on NRANews.com and Sirius Patriot 144.

Looking ahead to May and the 139th NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, N.C., we are excited that this year, as we've done in years past, we will expand our broadcast schedule and coverage of the 2010 NRA Annual Meetings!

After writing this, I realize that I better get two things for sure: plenty of rest, and a new pair of comfortable, durable shoes for the executive producer on the move!
The NRA National Matches at Camp Perry, Ohio-what a great place to be to launch my new "Popp's Perspective" column on NRANews.com! My summer would not be complete without a trip to the shores of Lake Erie for the NRA National Matches, which have been held here for more than a hundred years. I'm honored to once again be reporting on this incredible event for NRANews.com. We are here talking to competitors, manufacturers, NRA staff and volunteers, plus countless others involved in this annual celebration of the shooting sports. The best part is that you can see and hear it all on NRANews.com and Sirius Patriot 144! As summer rolls on, we are looking toward the fall and our coverage of the NRA National Police Shooting Championships and NRA Whittington Center in September.

No matter where we go to cover the Second Amendment news of the day, as well as the premiere shooting sports events around the country and the world, you can count on a front-row seat with NRANews.com and "Popp's Perspective"!
